Sam's Family of One

HELLO everyone .

it has been such a long time. I believed i missed last time so it has been a year or more and so much has happened. the biggest thing that has happened is I moved to Logan a few months ago and I am going to school full time and looking for a job, but not too hard.

I am taking 18+ Credits.
my classes are marketing management, Operations Management, Discussion with Business Leaders, Management Information Systems, Sign Language II, Intro to Deaf Culture, and Social Dance-- those are the ones I am getting credit for. I am also on the Ballroom Dance team, taking an institute class and institute Choir. That is school life with lots of studying and late nights and early mornings. You know college life. anyway, after this semester I will only have two semesters left until I get my Bachelors Degree.

Lets see, I am living with Scott Robinson--we have the apartment to ourselves, which is great. I am loving the ballroom dancing; I just cant get enough. I posted some videos on youtube that you can find via my face book if any are interested. We just went to a competition last weekend and I got first in the waltz and quick step and third in the Cha Cha. it was a blast.
lets see, meeting lots of new people, no girlfriend. yet.

We had the most amazing experience here. All through the summer a choir was put together and we sang for the CES Broadcast in September. The amazing thing about it is there are 888 people in the choir. They liked us so much that we sang again for the regional conference here in the cash valley. President Eyring and Ballard both came and spoke. The choir sounded so good because angles were with us! So many things happened that should not have, like the mikes only picked up 4-5 rows, but when we sang they picked up everyone. It was amazing.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing good, and if you happen to be in the Logan area drop on by and say hi.

Love you all

Sam Gibson

Cook Family Letter Oct. 2009

Subject: Cook Family Letter Oct. 2009
Wow, the last six months have gone by so fast. I can't believe how much has changed for our family. We just got into our new house and we love it! It's a long story so I'll try to condense it for all of you. After looking for a few months at a lot of houses in the Springville area, we decided to get a house from Salisbury. Even though it would be a brand new house it was less expensive than all the older, fixer upper houses we had seen. The floor plan we chose has 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. We were very blessed and qualified for both the new home grant and the tax credit for first time home buyers. They built it in less than two months and we moved in the week before conference. We had a lot of help from family and friends. Thanks everyone.

Autumn (8 months) is growing up too quickly. She's crawling everywhere and standing up to furniture. She always wants to be part of the action, and loves playing with Kaden. They really enjoy the new house and are learning a lot of new things. Kaden(2 1/2) is now learning the letters and numbers and doing very well. We are loving the library and getting new books every few weeks. He's also filling his potty chart with cool stickers.

Since we're new in the ward, we don't have callings yet. Nathan and I get to sit together for two whole meetings, at least when our kids are quiet for that long : ) . We haven't met many neighbors, but I think it's going to be a great area. Our stake is the third largest in the entire church and our ward is the largest in the stake. Apparently our two elders quorums are about to split into three. There just aren't any more buildings to use.

I'm really excited about the new house and decorating ideas keep running through my mind. We'll see how many actually get put into action. Nathan is having a good time riding his bike to work since we are a lot closer to his company. He's getting exercise and we're saving gas money, two birds with one stone.

We loved conference and seeing our families. Thank you all for your support and love. I can't wait to read all the family letters and get caught up on all of your lives.

Love,

Kristy, Nathan, Kaden, and Autumn Cook
