So here is our family new from South America. Umm I wil start with the Church, It is very different here and yet the same. Karla is the sacrament meeting music director and has recently been called as Young Women's president, I am serving as one of the ward clerks and also as Young Men's president, it is a lot of work for both of us but we enjoy working with the youth of the church (I think because it gives us an excuse to act younger that our age). The Lord has blessed us so much and keeps on doing it every day. We Loved watching General Conference, it is so wonderful to have prophet to guide us in these day. I especially like Presidents Uchtdorf's talk in the priesthood session (Work and learn).
Other news is our two Daughters, Gema and Sassy (a puppy and Kitten), They are a lot of fun and we enjoy playing with them, although they do cause us headaches and are great ways to learn patience, Gema like to pull Karla's plants out of her plant pots and has broken two pots, they both like to wake us up very early, Sassy like to jump up on our bed and bite our toes or fingers.
Recently I changed jobs which has been a very good change in our family. For the last few months I have been working with a company from Provo with a branch here in Peru. I helped manage their computer systems and networks, actually I am still working with them but only part time, and I also got a job teaching English with an Institute here in Arequipa. Since it pays more than my other job, I am working less there. I am also starting to teach my own private classes of English. My schedule now is about from 2 pm to 9 pm. Which means I have the whole morning to spend with Karla, we have really enjoyed the time together and we try to use it do do service. we have been helping different members in our ward, one friends whose husband works and she has a little baby so we help her do her shopping and play with the baby, we are also hoping to volunteer at a school for handicap children.
And maybe our best news is that we are planning on coming to the USA back to Utah, Hopefully in December so I can start classes in January. It all depends on how it goes getting her visa, which could take a few months, so as soon as we get it we will be up there to visit you all. We are praying that we can get in time to be there for the new year's party. oh and if any one would like to donate a couple of dollars it would be great if you could send it to my Mom or Grandma, I figure it will cost about $2,000, for the tickets and Karl's visa and all the paperwork.
Well we love you all and wish you all God's speed and Blessings, and we hope to see you soon.
James and Karla.
